Harvest on Fire – Ended in 2022
So after 5 years of the rainy weather, we have decided to call it quits for the BBQ Competition. Several reasons not just the rainy weather. Our kids are growing up and in lots of sports, lack of community involvement, weather, teams signing up last minute, etc. We just feel like it was time to call it quits. Thank you to those of you that did support us, and we could not of done it without you. Thank you, Patrick & Sonya Wilson.
In 2021, we raised $575 for Ms. Holly’s House in Paris, IL and $575 for Marshall First Step in Marshall, IL. We hope to raise even more this year! If you would like to help donate, we would love for you to help. Just email Sonya at harvestonfireatthewinery@gmail.com

BBQ Teams Set-up times: Thursday – Noon to 6pm, Friday – 10am to 6pm
Festival Times: Friday: Noon to 6pm, and Saturday 10am to 6pm (later times TBA when we book music, if any)
BBQ TEAM Cost: $275.00 if booked by June 1st. 2022. After June 1st, Cost will be $325. ***Paying online via PayPal your entry fee will be 284.26, which includes the pay pal fees. These extra fees will not be in the payout day of cook off and are non-refundable. So to avoid these costs, please mail a check the winery or call the winery and pay via credit card over the phone.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE CATERGORY THIS YEAR. WE NEED 5 TEAMS, WE WILL SUPPLY THE PORK BUTT (no cost to you, but your time and spices for pulled pork), AND WE WILL COME AROUND AND PICK UP AFTER THE PORK TURN IN. WE WILL HAVE OUR PEOPLE’S CHOICE FROM 2-3:30. Winner will receive a wooden wine bottle.

Restrictions: Please no alcohol on premises as carrying it around in a red solo cup or any type of container. We are licensed the same as a bar and our other festival goers have to abide by our rules too. So, you can use your own alcohol, but it MUST stay in your allotted area ONLY. We will have limited selection of hard liquor and beer available to buy. ($3.00-$6.00) We will also have our wine that we make on site, which ranges from $14.00 to $20.00 a bottle or $5-$6.00 a glass.

Meat Inspections: Starting Friday, July 9th @ 10am
Cooks Meeting: Friday at 5pm, We hope to have a cooks dinner again this year.
Ice: Ice will be available
Water: Water will be available. Two locations available on the North & South side of the building. However, cannot directly hook up. We’d be happy to fill up your jugs for you with our side by sides so you don’t have to carry them.
Electricity: ****MUST BRING YOUR OWN GENERATOR***** We will not have a generator this year. 🙁
Prize Money: Based on 25 teams, and waiting to hear from our sponsors from last year. Then we will have prize money 1st thru 5th place for all 4 categories, Chicken, Ribs, Butt & Brisket.

Castle Finn Vineyard & Winery is a small family owned winery. We opened Aug 1st, 2010. We are in our 10th year of business. We host all types of events such as weddings and receptions, comedy shows, murder mystery dinners, canvas classes, door hanger craft days, Asian cooking classes, wine & yoga classes just to mention a few. We make all of our own wine on premise. We do have to buy some grapes and the fruit from various vendors in the Midwest. We have 15+ wines to choose from ranging from dry to fruit sweet. Our Blackberry wine and our Blackberry Sangria are our #1 sellers! We do allow under 21 in the winery and offer nonalcoholic drinks such as pop and non-alcoholic grape juice slushies.
