In 2018, we raised $1,000 that was donated to the 4-H scholarships of Clark, Edgar & Crawford Counties.  We hope to raise even more this year!

BBQ Cook-Off

Friday, July 12th & Saturday, July 13th, 2019

**Note:  All times are listed in Central Time Zone

BBQ Teams Set-up times:  Thursday – Noon to 6pm, Friday – 10am to 6pm

Festival Times:  Friday: Noon to 6pm, and Saturday 10am to 6pm (later times TBA when we book music, if any)

Vendors:  Saturday only from 10am to 6pm 

BBQ TEAM Cost:  $250.00 if booked in advance. ***Paying online via PayPal your entry fee will be 257.78 which includes the pay pal fees, these extra fees will not be in the payout day of cook off and are non-refundable. So to avoid these costs, please mail a check the winery.

Prize Money Purse – $5850.00-based on 25 teams

Grand Champion – $1500.00 plus trophy , Reserve Grand Champion –$ 750.00 plus trophy

Individual categories – Chicken, Ribs, Butt, Brisket

1st – $400.00 Each, plus trophy,  2nd – $200.00 Each, 3rd – $100.00 Each, 4th– $75.00 Each, 5th– 50.00 Each

$400.00 Towards the 4H Scholarships

Space: 20×30 standard space, larger spots are an extra $25.00.   Max Spaces: 20×60

Restrictions:  Please no alcohol on premises as carrying it around in a red solo cup or any type of container.  We are licensed the same as a bar and our other festival goers have to abide by our rules too.  So, you can use your own alcohol, but it MUST stay in your allotted area ONLY. We will have limited selection of hard liquor and beer available to buy. ($3.00-$6.00) We will also have our wine that we make on site, which ranges from $14.00 to $20.00 a bottle or $5-$6.00 a glass. 

Entries need to be received by June 21st, 2019, if booked after this cost will be $300.00 **Online through PayPal will cost $309.00.  $9.00 is what PayPal fees and are non-refundable, and these fees will not go towards the payout on July 13th.  So to avoid these costs please mail your check to Castle Finn Winery, 1288 N 1200th St. Marshall, IL  62441.

Meat Inspections: Starting Friday, July 12th @ 10am

Cooks Meeting:  Friday at 5pm

Ice:  Ice will be available

Water:  Water will be available.  Two locations available on the North & South side of the building.  However, cannot directly hook up. 

Electricity:  We will have limited amount of 1-30 amp outlet for teams.  You may also bring your own generators.

Prize Money:  Based on 25 teams, and waiting to hear from our sponsors from last year. Then we will have prize money 1st thru 5th place for all 4 categories, Chicken, Ribs, Butt & Brisket.

Our Wine Bottle Trophies from 2018

Castle Finn Vineyard & Winery is a small family owned winery.  We opened Aug 1st, 2010.  We are in our 8th year of business.  We host all types of events such as weddings and receptions, comedy shows, murder mystery dinners, canvas classes, door hanger craft days, Asian cooking classes, wine & yoga classes just to mention a few.  We make all of our own wine on premise.  We do have to buy some grapes and the fruit from various vendors in the Midwest.  We have 15+ wines to choose from ranging from dry to fruit sweet. Our Blackberry wine and our Blackberry Sangria are our #1 sellers!  We do allow under 21 in the winery and offer nonalcoholic drinks such as pop and non-alcoholic grape juice slushies.  Like us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram.
